Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution
Since 2001,
U.S. News and World Report has ranked Cardozo's Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution among the top ten dispute resolution programs in the country. The program’s mission is to develop modern day problem solvers in the legal profession who can skillfully use the many dispute resolution processes for the benefit of their clients and society.
Prof. Lela Love, director of the Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution and Cardozo's Mediation Clinic, has been selected by the American College of Civil Trial Mediators to receive the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award.

The program includes:
- An exciting array of courses with classes in negotiation, mediation, arbitration and dispute resolution processes, a mediation summer program in Budapest, and an intensive January training in Representation in Mediation.
- Nationally and internationally recognized faculty who, beyond the classroom, are prominent scholars and practitioners of the concepts and methods they explore with students.
- The Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution, a student-run biannual publication, hosts groundbreaking symposia and panels, and annually presents the International Advocate for Peace Award. Recipients of the award include a former president, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, and prominent international dispute resolvers and problem solvers
- The Cardozo Dispute Resolution Society, a student-run organization that fosters an active community of students interested in dispute resolution by hosting panel discussions, social gatherings, and networking and informational events.
