Jacqueline Murekatete is a survivor of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. She was granted political asylum in the U.S. and began to tell her story at the age of 16.
Murekatete founded her own nonprofit dedicated to providing leadership in human rights issues. At Cardozo Law she worked for the Human Rights and Genocide Clinic. "Cardozo helped me combine my passions for human rights and justice. My experiences here will give me the practical skills I need to succeed as an international human rights lawyer."
