Overview
The Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law (CJICL) has published scholarly articles on cutting edge global issues for over fifteen years.  CJICL presents articles, case comments, and student notes on an array of issues including corporate law, intellectual property, constitutional law, and human rights. Recent articles have covered topics such as corporate governance in Korea, legal reform in Egypt, Latin American immigration into the U.S., and the international implications of new software patent laws.   Given the increasing focus on foreign affairs, from the conflict in Iraq to economic developments in China, CJICL offers a vital platform for academic dialogue on world events shaping the political, social, and economic landscape.

The Journal also organizes symposia, creating opportunities for academic debate and discussion on a spectrum of international issues.   Event subjects have ranged from "The Role and Capability of the United Nations in the Global War on Terrorism" (February, 2004) to "Identity Theft and Data Security" (October, 2006). This year, CJICL will present a symposium on the topic of: "Doing Business in High Risk Countries: A Survey for the International Corporate Lawyer."

CJICL's commitment to high quality scholarship has established it as one of the leading international law journals in the United States.  In continuing this tradition, CJICL welcomes thought-provoking contributions from professors, practitioners, legislators, and judges from around the world.

The Editorial Board is comprised of third-year J.D. candidates who are elected after serving a full year as journal staff members.  In addition, CJICL benefits from the guidance of its faculty advisor, Professor Julie Suk.
