Professor Blasser has been teaching at Cardozo’s Criminal Defense Clinic since 2003. Previously, she was a staff attorney with the Criminal Defense Division of the New York Legal Aid Society, where she tried numerous misdemeanor and felony cases. Herself a graduate of clinical education, Professor Blasser was awarded the Ann Petluck Poses Prize for Clinical Work from New York University School of Law. In 2008, Professor Blasser received the Benjamin N. Cardozo Inspire Award for her work as a clinical professor. She also received the Legal Aid Society Outstanding ProBono Service award in 2006 for her representation of a U.S. resident in removal proceedings resulting from a criminal conviction.
