A wealth of programs for credit combine professional work experience with academic supervision. These experiential learning opportunities give students hands-on experience and preparation for life after law school.
They also provide important opportunities to see what areas of legal practice are the most satisfying. Cardozo’s clinics are all client-based, many of them are on campus. There is also a judicial clerkship program; internships and externships; and student-edited journals. Nearly 400 students each year participate in one of these programs, which are part of Cardozo’s lawyering curriculum.
