These three legal research vendors are offering extended access to their services after graduation. BLaw accounts expire 6 months after graduation. LA accounts can be extended through December if you apply for the extension before the end of June. Westlaw is extending access through November if you log in to the home page for your account, click on the image for "Need your password for the summer" and fill out the information for extension as a graduating student.

Summer associate / prepare-to- practice type training sessions from Bloomberg Law, LexisNexis and Westlaw are all now underway. BLaw training takes place at noon and again at 4 pm April 15 through 17; Lexis is at noon on April 17, 18 and 24; Westlaw sessions begin at 11am on April 15 and 22. The Dag Hammarskjold Library of the United Nations has released two new research guides with links to UN resources: UN Documentation: Overview and UN Resources. When searching for UN materials, it is often best to start with UNBISNET and then try ODS. Google does not search these UN servers.

The American Law Institute wants to draft Fair Information Practice Principles that will be published as The Restatement Third, Information Privacy Principles. The goal is to bring more consistency to state and federal privacy laws.
