An Interview with Associate Justice Sandra Day O'Connor
When a delegation of three Associate Justices of the
Supreme Court visited Cardozo to meet with members of the European Court
of Justice, Prof. David Rudenstine took the opportunity to discuss the
conference with Justice O'Connor as well as what it's been like to be the
first woman appointed to the US Supreme Court.
Did Elgin Cheat at Marbles?
In researching the "legal" right of Britain to lay claim
to sculptures from the Athenian Parthenon, Professor Rudenstine found a
lack of evidence to prove that their Ambassador, Lord Elgin, had the right
to take the sculptures from Greece nearly two centuries ago. The article
outlines his research and findings on which a future book will be based.
