The
Moot Court Honor Society is a competition-based organization at Cardozo. In addition to competing in approximately six competitions each semester, we also host the
Paulsen Intramural Moot Court Competition in the fall, and the the popular
Cardozo/BMI Entertainment and Communications Law Moot Court Competition each spring.
The
Moot Court Honor Society is structured like a publication, with oralists, editors, and staff selected on the basis of grades, writing ability, and oral advocacy skills. The organization is
entirely student run, and is advised by
Professor Alex Reinert. Selected students participate in numerous
national and regional moot court competitions, writing advocacy briefs for competitions and preparing for oral argument. Our members also prepare the problems and bench memos for our interscholastic and intramural competitions.
