Cardozo Law Professor Michelle Adams discusses the upcoming Supreme Court case of Fisher v. University of Texas, a case that could have a far-reaching impact on affirmative action in higher education. Professor Adams is the co-director of the Floerscheimer Center for Democracy. Her research focuses on civil rights, race and gender issues, among other topics in the law.
The Yeshiva University family and the Board of Overseers of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law deeply mourn the loss of Hon. Frank Lautenberg, who for twelve years was an esteemed friend, board member, and guardian donor of the law school and the university. Senator Lautenberg’s life illustrated both the transformative power of education and the dedication of committed public service. His service as a Cardozo board member from 2002 to 2009 and thereafter as an honorary member until his death reflects his values as well as his aspirations.
