Requests to Present/Participate:

Scholars interested in presenting a paper or participating at IPSC should complete the submission form located at the bottom of this page. Only submissions received through this electronic form will be accepted. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2013.

This year, we will be trying out a different format for the IP Scholars Conference. There will be two types of presentations. In your registration request, you should indicate which presentation type you would prefer. One option is for the same short presentation format that has become customary over the last few years. This year, these presentations may be a few minutes shorter than they have been in the past.

The other option is for a longer time slot for a pre-circulated paper, during which a commentator will present the author's work and then lead a discussion of it. The author will have a few minutes to respond to the commentator before moving to a discussion with the audience. In requesting a longer time slot, you are committing to submit a draft of your paper by July 12, 2013, four weeks before the conference. If there are more requests for longer sessions than there are slots available, we will maintain a waiting list, which will be used to fill the slots of those who either change their mind or who fail to submit a draft by the July 12 deadline. Papers remaining on the waiting list will be assigned a short presentation slot instead.

With your registration, you should also indicate whether you would be willing to serve as a commentator for someone else's paper. We encourage you to offer to be a commentator without requesting a presentation slot of your own, and we will try to find commentators first from among those not otherwise presenting.

There will be a limited number of reservations available for attendees who do not wish to present a paper but who would like to attend and participate in the discussions. Please select "No Presentation" in the form below if you wish to attend the conference without presenting a paper.

There is no charge to attend the conference. Conference presenters and attendees are expected to pay for their own transportation and lodging. Cardozo School of Law will provide complimentary food and drink throughout the conference.
